Rich Results
Enhanced search result listings that include additional visual elements like star ratings, images, prices, or FAQ dropdowns.
Understanding Rich Results
Rich results (formerly called rich snippets) are enhanced search result listings that display additional information beyond the standard title, URL, and description. They can include star ratings, product prices, recipe details, FAQ dropdowns, event dates, how-to steps, video thumbnails, and more. Rich results are generated from structured data (typically JSON-LD) added to your web pages. Pages with rich results typically see 20-30% higher click-through rates compared to standard results. Google provides a Rich Results Test tool to validate your structured data and preview how your results might appear. Not all structured data types are eligible for rich results — check Google's documentation for supported types.
