JSON-LD

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is the format recommended by Google for implementing structured data on web pages. It uses a script tag in the HTML head or body to embed structured data in a standardized format that search engines can parse. JSON-LD is preferred over alternatives like Microdata and RDFa because it separates the structured data from the HTML markup, making it easier to implement and maintain. Common JSON-LD types include Organization, WebSite, Article, Product, FAQ, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, and LocalBusiness. JSON-LD enables rich results in search engines, which can significantly improve click-through rates and visibility.
