Featured Snippet
A highlighted search result that appears at the top of Google's results, providing a direct answer to a query.
Understanding Featured Snippet
A featured snippet is a special search result format that appears at the top of Google's organic results (position zero). It extracts and displays a direct answer to a user's query from a web page, along with the page title and URL. Featured snippets come in several formats: paragraph (a text block answering the question), list (numbered or bulleted steps), table (structured data comparison), and video (YouTube clips). To optimize for featured snippets, structure your content with clear questions as headings followed by concise answers, use lists and tables where appropriate, answer questions directly in 40-60 words, and target question-based keywords.
